This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how Edgenta Arabia Limited ("EAL", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses, stores and protects your personal information when you download, install, register for, or use either the EAL Tenant App or the EAL - Field App (each an "App" and together the "Apps"), both published by Edgenta Arabia Limited, a subsidiary of UEM Edgenta Berhad, or its authorised vendors on behalf of Edgenta Arabia Limited, on supported mobile application platforms (including the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, where applicable).
We respect your right to privacy. We process personal information in accordance with applicable laws, including the Personal Data Protection Law of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Royal Decree M/19) and its Implementing Regulations ("Saudi PDPL"), and — where relevant — the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 of Malaysia ("PDPA"), which applies to our parent UEM Edgenta Berhad.

1. Scope of this Policy
This Policy applies to the two mobile applications named below, both of which are developed and published by Edgenta Arabia Limited (or its authorised vendors on its behalf):
- EAL Tenant App — a mobile application for tenants and occupants of properties managed by EAL, used to submit and track service requests, receive notifications, and communicate with the on-site facility management team.
- EAL - Field App — a mobile application for EAL technicians and field operations personnel, used to receive job assignments, capture on-site work and evidence, and update task status in the EAL operations platform.
This Policy also applies to information we collect via the support channels associated with the Apps (for example, the privacy email address listed above).
2. Personal information we collect
The categories of personal information we collect depend on which App you use and how you use it.
2.1 Information common to both Apps
- Account & identity information: name, email address, phone number, employee or tenant identifier, login credentials.
- Device & technical information: device model, operating system version, application version, app install ID, IP address, language and timezone settings.
- Diagnostic & performance data: crash reports, error logs, in-app event logs used to diagnose problems and improve the Apps.
- Communications: messages, support enquiries and feedback you send to us through the Apps or the privacy email.
2.2 Information specific to the EAL Tenant App
- Tenancy details: the property, unit or premises associated with your tenancy and assigned by EAL or the property owner.
- Service request data: descriptions of issues you report, request categories, requested service times, and any messages you send to the FM team.
- Photos & attachments: images or files you choose to upload to support a service request.
- Notification preferences: categories of announcements you opt to receive.
2.3 Information specific to the EAL - Field App
- Workforce identity: employee number, role, team, and assigned site(s).
- Job & task data: work orders assigned to you, status updates, time stamps, completion checklists, parts used, and notes recorded against tasks.
- Location information: precise device location while you are signed in and on-shift, used for job dispatch, route optimisation, on-site verification of completed tasks, and lone-worker safety. Location collection only occurs while the App is in use unless background location is explicitly enabled by your supervisor for a specific operational reason and disclosed at that time.
- On-site evidence: photos, scanned barcodes, asset QR codes, and digital signatures captured to evidence completed work.
- Camera, microphone & storage access: only when you actively use a feature that requires it (e.g., taking a photo of completed work).
2.4 Information we do not collect
- We do not request or store your bank account, credit card or payment card details inside the Apps.
- We do not collect biometric identifiers (such as facial or fingerprint data) except where you opt in to use your device's own biometric unlock to authenticate, in which case the biometric data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.
- We do not knowingly collect any information from children (see Section 8).
3. How and why we use your information
We use personal information for the following purposes, each supported by a lawful basis under applicable data-protection law:
- To provide the Apps and our services — authenticating you, routing requests or jobs, displaying your service history or assignments. (Performance of contract / legitimate operational interest.)
- To communicate with you — sending status updates, announcements, and responses to your enquiries.
- To dispatch and verify field work (Field App) — assigning the right technician to a job, optimising routes, confirming on-site presence, and supporting lone-worker safety. (Legitimate operational interest, with consent for precise location.)
- To maintain accurate property and tenancy records (Tenant App).
- To improve the Apps — analysing diagnostic and usage data to fix bugs, improve performance and refine features.
- To comply with legal obligations — record-keeping, audit trails, and responding to lawful requests from regulators or authorities.
- To protect EAL, our clients and our users — detecting fraud, misuse and security incidents.
We do not use your personal information for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.
4. Who we share information with
We share personal information only as needed to operate the Apps and our services, and only with parties bound by appropriate confidentiality and data-protection commitments:
- Within the UEM Edgenta group — with our parent UEM Edgenta Berhad and affiliated companies for operational, support, governance and security purposes.
- Property owners and clients (Tenant App) — service request information shared with the property owner or client whose premises you occupy, where necessary to fulfil the request.
- Authorised service providers — cloud hosting, analytics, crash-reporting, customer-support, and communications providers who process personal information on our behalf under written contracts that limit their use to providing the relevant service.
- Professional advisors and auditors — under confidentiality, where reasonably required.
- Authorities — where disclosure is required by law, regulation, court order, or to protect rights, property or safety.
- In a corporate transaction — to a successor entity in connection with a merger, acquisition or reorganisation, subject to equivalent privacy commitments.
5. How long we keep your information
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, including any legal, accounting, audit or contractual requirements. Indicatively:
- Account data — for the duration of your tenancy or employment relationship and for a reasonable period afterwards in line with our records-management policy.
- Service request and job records — typically retained for the contracted service period plus a defined post-period to support warranty, audit and dispute resolution.
- Diagnostic / log data — retained for shorter periods aligned to operational needs (typically a rolling window of months, not years).
- Records required by law — kept for the period required by applicable law.
When personal information is no longer required, we securely delete or anonymise it.
6. How we protect your information
We apply administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. These include access controls, encryption in transit, secure cloud infrastructure, logging and monitoring, employee training, and contractual safeguards with our service providers. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we encourage you to keep your account credentials confidential.
7. Your rights and choices
Subject to applicable law, you have the following rights with respect to your personal information:
- Access — request confirmation of whether we hold personal information about you and a copy of that information.
- Correction — request that inaccurate or incomplete personal information be corrected.
- Deletion — request deletion of personal information, subject to legal exceptions (e.g., records we must keep by law).
- Restriction or objection — request that we restrict certain processing or object to processing based on legitimate interests.
- Withdraw consent — where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
- Portability — receive a copy of certain personal information in a structured, commonly used format, where applicable.
- Lodge a complaint — with the Saudi Data & Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia or, in Malaysia, with the Personal Data Protection Department (JPDP).
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at corporate@edgentasaudi.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
Account deletion within the App: you may request deletion of your account and associated personal information at any time by emailing corporate@edgentasaudi.com from the email address registered to your account, or by using any in-app account-deletion option provided.
Permission controls: you can manage device-level permissions (location, camera, microphone, notifications, storage) at any time in your device settings. Some App features may be unavailable or limited if you decline the related permission.
8. Children's privacy
The Apps are intended for adult users (tenants and authorised employees). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at corporate@edgentasaudi.com and we will take appropriate steps to delete the information.
9. International transfers
Personal information collected in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is primarily processed in the Kingdom and, where necessary, transferred to other jurisdictions in which the UEM Edgenta group, our affiliates or our authorised service providers operate. When we transfer personal information across borders, we take steps required by applicable law to ensure that the information continues to be protected to a comparable standard, including by entering into contractual safeguards with the recipient.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, applicable law or the Apps. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice through the Apps or by email. Your continued use of the Apps after a change indicates that you accept the updated Policy.
